Get to know 2022-23 ARVO President Hans E. Grossniklaus, MD, MBA, FARVO
Board certified in ophthalmology and anatomic pathology, Hans E. Grossniklaus, MD, MBA, FARVO, is vice chair of translational research at the Emory Eye Center and professor of ophthalmology and pathology, Department of Ophthalmology, Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Ga. His volunteer contributions with ARVO have included positions as member and chair of the Annual Meeting Program Committee, editorial board member of ARVO journal Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science (IOVS), and he currently sits on ARVO’s Finance Committee.
Grossniklaus began his term as ARVO president in May 2022. He recently sat down with ARVONews to offer a glimpse into his professional background and to share the vision he hopes to accomplish with ARVO during his tenure.
