Target Audience
The following sessions are intended for researchers with little to no pre-existing knowledge about transitioning a research idea from discovery to clinical application.
How to get started transitioning research ideas to the clinic
This session will teach attendees about how to move a research idea from the bench to the clinic. The necessary preparation and planning required to design research projects capable of making this transition will be discussed as well as how to adjust when a project leads to an unexpected opportunity.
How to get funding for translational ideas
This session will explore the opportunities and challenges associated with funding your translational idea.
Case studies in translational research
This session will present case studies representing successful transitions to the clinic. Attendees will learn first hand about real-world challenges, common missteps, and what made the difference between success and failure.
