Getting to know artificial intelligence (AI)
This session is designed for researchers who want to learn the basics of AI in layman's terms. Participants will learn how to effectively communicate their research ideas and goals using terminology familiar to AI programmers and data scientists. They will also learn how to frame a research question, design appropriate data collection tools for AI analysis, and assess the strengths and limitations of the AI algorithms used for data collection or analysis. No coding required.
Developing and implementing artificial intelligence
This session is designed for researchers experienced with creating or using exising AI algorithms, machine learning and/ or large language models. Attendees will learn about the latest developments in these areas, emerging ethical issues, and the potential for the future.
