A graduate of Rutgers Medical School, Allison completed her residency in ophthalmology at SUNY-Health Science Center in Brooklyn, NY, and her fellowship in Glaucoma at the Oschner Foundation, in New Orleans, La. At the Flaum Eye Institute, she is the glaucoma fellowship director and head of the Population Medicine Glaucoma Division, where she is actively involved in population medicine, diversity and equity research.
Her current research efforts at the Flaum Eye Institute are a continuation of over 18 years of similar research in New York City that were conducted at the same time she operated a private multispecialty practice. Allison has been actively involved in student education and mentorship for over 18 years, an effort that continues at the University of Rochester.
